AGIA TRIADA
Agia Triada

Agia Triada is located at the northern foot of Mount Velouchi at an altitude of 800 m., near the Ski Center with which it is connected by a carriage road.

The beautiful Holy Temple of the Holy Trinity, renovated in 1906, is built at the highest point of the village. Agia Triada also "hosts" the Holy Temple of Agios Bissarion, built in 1884 with a remarkable wood-carved iconostasis.

On the west side one can admire the preserved small katholikon of an old historical Monastery, which operated in the area (1790-1830), dedicated to the memory of the Prophet Elias. Wonderful images and some excellent murals are preserved in it.

The village houses the “Tsatsou” museum as well as a private lending library, the “Fotios Library” which operates in the house of Chrysostomos Karapiperis and has 8000 volumes. The same building houses the Folklore Museum that “awakens” traditional memories through a journey back in time.

At the entrance of the village there are the facilities of a traditional watermill, which has recently been reconstructed.
