The Karpenissiotis river originates from the western slopes of Timfristos and flows southwest for 15 km until it joins the Krikelopotamos river, forming the Trikeriotis river.
In his journey he quenches his thirst in the valley of Potamia, caresses the untouched ravines of Mount Kaliakouda and Mount Helidona, greets the gorge Klidi that connects Karpenissi with the village of Prousos.
And here its greatness is revealed, when the steep slopes begin to define their height in the gorge of wild natural beauty. Its shores are adorned by many villages, by firs, plane trees and by a beauty pure, immaculate but wild and self-sufficient. Impressive is the point where the river Karpenissiotis merges with Krikeliotis.
