Stretching to the northeast of the prefecture of Evritania, the Municipal Unit of Fourna is a mountainous municipality and consists of the following municipal districts: Municipal District of Fournas, Municipal District of Vracha, Municipal District of Kleisto.

…You will admire the meeting point of the streams Aforismena, Mavromyti and Paliotournos, which form in the genuinely beautiful village of Fourna, the river Fourniotikos.
…You will meet at the picturesque village of Vracha , with its stone houses, its many fountains and its important religious monument, the historic Holy Monastery of the Transfiguration (Metamorfosi Sotiros), which had been a refuge and stronghold of the Greeks during the revolution of 1821. From this point, you will also discover the Tsoukas gorge.
…You will learn that the birthplace of new martyr Agios Kyprianos is the village of Klisto, where the namesake church of the saint is also found. A few meters before the junction: Mavrologo – Sarandaporo – Karditsa, also leading to Molocha – Apidia – Karditsa, you can get some rest in the “Passerby’s Lodge”. It is a building, in an idyllic landscape, where passers-by or travellers can rest for a while and even spend the night. It is a project funded by Nikolaos Florakis, who came from Koritsa. The place has plenty more to offer such as: the beautiful square of Mesochori, the imposing Church of Agioi Taxiarches, the Monastery of Agios Nikolaos in Koritsa , the village of Mavrologgos surrounded by fir and cherry trees, which offers a lovely view of the Agrafa mountains, the settlement of Platanos with the church of Agios Nikolaos dominating in its center.
The Fournas Relics Office will host the icons of Dionysios from Fournas, the Folklore Museum in the Fournas square of the Women’s Association and the Cultural Center in Vracha.
