It is also the place  of tragic death for the village locals, when in an effort to hide from the troops of Omer Vryonis preferred to die instead of surrendering to the Turks.

…You will enjoy the hiking route Katavothra-Drosopigi, starting from the village Katavothra on a trail where nature will gradually unfold its beauty little by little. The route passes through wooded landscapes and a waterfall with crystal clear waters.
